Problem: Users had no way to bulk-delete their chat history — only one chat at a time, which was time-consuming.
Solution: I designed a concept for a bulk chat deletion feature, adding checkboxes and the Delete selected chats option to the chat menu and the Data Controls section.
Interface:
— checkboxes triggered by clicking the “⋯” next to a chat
— a new option in Settings → Data Controls: Delete selected chats
— a multi-chat selection window

Effect: Improved speed and convenience of managing chat history.

Before releasing the feature, it should be tested with users, checked for errors, and reviewed based on support requests. It’s also important to make sure the system can handle the load and to set a limit on how many chats can be deleted at one time.
